Our Jobs

Rolf designs software for a large, stable, internet auction company. Living only a block away from work, he often walks home at lunch to play with our dogs and prepare a meal. He's been with his company for 5 years and has been promoted several times.

Cyn owns her own consulting business and works at home. Her 5 years of experience as an executive in Silicon Valley gives her great persepctive on work/life balance, and setting her own hours makes a big difference.

How We Relax

We love to spend time doing DIY projects at home, visiting the farmer's market, playing tennis on the Wii, and generally having a good time. We also love to camp in our Volkswagen van, paddle our kayak, and hike the trails in the nearby Redwoods.

We were married 4 years ago in a campground in Oregon, and spent our honeymoon camping through Oregon and California; it was a blast! The Volkswagen van already has a perfect "upstairs tent" portion ready for a child to camp-out.

About Our Home

In early 2007 we bought our first home together in a 1950's neighborhood in the town of Campbell, California. Though surrounded by the larger city of San Jose, our small community feels cozy and has one of the highest-rated public school systems in the area.

There are always neighborhood kids walking past our house to go bike riding or play in the elementary school playground just two houses down. We have lots of room for a child and a fenced backyard with a huge magnolia tree that already has a tree house. One of our favorite things to do on hot days is spread a blanket on the cool grass under the magnolia and read books or watch a DVD. We're excited to add some kids to that picture!
